Guerlain is a family-owned brand that dates back to 1828. Making it one of the oldest cosmetics brands in history. It was founded by the perfumer Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain. It was run by 5 generations of the Guerlain family until 1994 when it was purchased by  Louis Vuitton. It is recognised for its luxury perfume fit for royalty. Guerlain created many fragrances for highly esteemed people including Napoléon III and Queen Victoria. Almost 200 years have passed since Guerlain created more than 325 different fragrances and it still holds its own in the luxury perfume market. 

Although famous for perfumes, the Guerlain family created an assortment of cosmetics from lotions and makeup to lip balms (Baume de la Ferté). Guerlain had conserved the brand heritage through its products such as Guerlain Meteorites – Light Revealing Pearls Of Powder. Some of their original cosmetics are still available today.
