Phyto is a herbal hair care line made in France. It was developed in 1969 by Patrick Ales, a renowned celebrity hairstylist who believed that perfect hair is only achievable with a healthy scalp. To ensure the highest standards of efficiency, stability, protection, and resistance, all Phyto products are clinically tested. Phyto provides formulations that are pure and free of artificial ingredients. 

Patrick Alès began his career as a salon apprentice in Paris in the 1950s. Years before environmental awareness and botanical hair care became the norm, his curiosity was piqued. The hairdresser wanted to research the influence of plants, their history of being used in traditional medicine, and their function in maintaining the hair’s natural features. In the 1960s, he created his first hair care products, the Huile D’ales and Phyto 7. This has the benefit of supporting his clients with their dry, bleached hair. He found that chemically laden materials were wreaking havoc on hairdressers’ hands and the hair of their clients. The first seeds of his proposal for a gentler, less toxic line of hair products were planted secretly.
