A few weeks after that, she was photographed yet again during her visit to Argentina. The black bag was dubbed Princess Diana’s favourite and it became “legendary” and “iconic”. With Princess Diana’s blessing, Dior named the bag “Lady Dior” and launched it in a larger series. 

Out of all the creative directors that headed Dior, John Galliano was noted to closely resemble that of Christian Dior. The similarities to Christian Dior’s style could also be found in many of Galliano’s creations. In 2016, Maria Grazia Chiuri became the first woman to succeed the Artistic Director role at Dior. To this day, Dior continues to produce timeless and beautiful pieces that remain original and innovative.
