Face mask is getting to be a common staple in our beauty routine. The different types of face mask cater to our many skincare needs. These include cleansing, hydrating, toning, brightening and adding radiance to our skins. They pamper our skins with what nutrients they need most to help maintain and keep youthful appearances.

The different variety includes the following:

Sheet Mask

The popularity of sheet masks is propelled by the K-beauty phenomenon. An integral part of the 10-steps Korean beauty routine, the sheet mask is a convenient way to pampering the skin with little fuss.

A sheet mask usually takes the form of a mask with slits for openings for eyes, nostrils and mouth, soaked in nutrients and antioxidants for the face. Materials for the sheet mask can include microfiber and hydrogel.

Packaged individually in foil and plastics to keep them well soaked in nutrients, they are not the most environmentally-friendly options.

Wash-Off Mask

Wash-off mask can be in cream or gel formulas usually packaged in a jar or even in a tube. Apply them on the face for a recommended time period then wash off with water.

The cream formulas are good for normal to dry skins while the gel formulas are suitable for sensitive and dehydrated skins.

Clay Mask and Mud Mask

Special clays, usually consist of bentonite and kaolin clays, deeply cleanse the skin. They draw out impurities to the skin surface as it dries and tightens, absorb excess oils, clean and reduce the size of pores. They dry out the skin and are suitable for oily skins.
