The salon has highly raved for its exceptional service and incredible staff.  Established back in 2015 by the leading hairstylist, Apollo, Locco Hair Salon is a favourite among TARC students. The salon is also home some of the best hair stylists in Kuala Lumpur who has vast experience and knowledge in the hair game business. I, the Senior Beauty Writer for Beauty Insider Malaysia had the chance to visit Locco Hair Salon. Hence, here’s my honest review of this hair wonderland!

The Ambience at Locco Hair Salon.

The moment I walked into the salon, I got this classic contemporary vibes. I felt like I was walking into a fancy cafe rather than a salon! The interior of Locco Hair Salon is just too pretty!!! The salon is your contemporary salon with a classic twist. You can notice this from the ambience of the salon. They have the basic rolling chairs and classic mirrors that’s you’ll find in your 90s salons. But what set them apart from your average neighbourhood salon is the modern and elegant touches. The floral details, brick walls, studio-like background, trust me, will look great on your IG feed! (MAJOR HAIR GOAL ALERT!) Oh, even their full-length mirrors are a great spot for a post-treatment Insta pic.

The Services, Treatments and Prices.

Now, let’s talk about their impeccable service! They offer a wide range of hair services and treatments for both men and women at a very affordable price. Their services include scalp treatments, hair colouring, perming and even hair tattooing. Well, these are the few of the services they offer!!! Every now and then, they also have special discounts and promotion too! One of their best-selling services is Balayage hair colouring service. Moreover, all their products are imported from and are high in quality. Adding on, the also use all the latest technologies in the market atm to ensure your hair is trendy and healthy.

Plus, unlike the other places on the list, Locco is slightly out of town making finding parking and getting there hassle-free. I was offered the hair colouring and treatment service, and I hand down loved the result! It is certainly better than expected!!!! The treatment was so soothing and I honestly felt like it was an indulging spa treatment. The products they use on my hair smelt sooo good! The whole experience was just so divine, no joke!

To sum up my whole experience in Locco Hair Salon, I’ll definitely say Locco is not a money-minded salon. They prioritize good service and customer satisfaction on top of anything and everything, The staffs here are extremely friendly and understanding. I was even offered drinks to enjoy while they took care of the hair. Prior to the whole hair job, the stylist sat down and talk to me and explained the whole process and even suggested what hair and cuts would look good me! I just loved how they made sure you are at ease and comfortable. Instead of treating you like a customer, the people at Locco Hair Salon treats you like a friend and that’s what makes them stand out of the rest!

Overall, I would say Locco Hair Salon should def be on your must-visit hair salon list! If you are planning to visit Locco Hair Salon, be sure to make appointment forehand as they are quite busy and don’t really prefer walk-ins. This because they want to make sure each customer are given the full benefits of time with the stylist of their choice. They don’t like to rush things here so be prepared to spend a well deserved self-pampering session here!
