With a glaring exception

Runway beauty alert! On the 20th of September 2024, Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2025 women’s collection was unveiled at Triennale Milano during Milan Fashion Week. Under the creative direction of Sabato De Sarno, the collection was a triumph, mostly focused on Guccified everyday wardrobe essentials amidst the eye-catching bold summer ensembles.
As much as we adore fashion, we all know the drill here at Beauty Insider: it’s all about discussing beauty—and there were plenty to be found on the runway at the Gucci SS25 showcase. The makeup was luminous, highlighting each model’s natural beauty and focusing on a radiant and timeless aesthetic. But far be it for De Sarno to be branded anything close to boring, the look allowed the eyes to do all the talking, and it worked: we’re listening intently.
How the Beauty Gurus Worked Their Magic at Gucci SS25
The brief for skin was “luminous” as clear complexions took center stage, enhanced by the lightweight glow of Gucci’s Brume de Beauté, Sérum de Beauté Fluide Matifiant, and Baume Nourrissant Universel for impeccable skin prep. The use of the Éternité de Beauté foundation and Concentré de Beauté concealer ensured flawless and long-lasting coverage, while Poudre de Beauté Mat Naturel added a smooth and mattified finish, achieving a naturally perfected base.
The lips doubled down further on the au naturel approach, with neutral shades of lipstick enhancing the models’ natural lip color. The Rouge à Lèvres Satin in Linda Beige offered a soft apricot beige hue for a subtle and refined touch, while Suzanne Sunset brought a warmer and soft brown tone into play. Both shades provided a satin finish that was rich yet understated, completing the collection’s ode to authenticity and natural beauty.
As the siren call of the look, the eyes served depth with the help of smokiness and definition. Kohl eyeliner Stylo Contour des Yeux in Noir was expertly applied to create a discreet smoky effect, while Mascara L’Obscur added just the right amount of drama. The geometric eyeliner extended the length of the eye, enhancing the natural shape without overpowering the look. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how to achieve elegant beauty.
Gucci Beauty is available in stores and at Sephora.
