Facial Massage
Incorporate five minutes in front of the mirror to massage your face in your daily skincare routine. Facial massage promotes good blood circulation. The trick is to target various sections of the face—from your forehead and down to your cheeks and jaw. Apply light pressure from your palm and fingers as you do. For best results, massage your face with oil, in a delicate, feather-like movement every day for two weeks before any effects will show.
Exercise Regularly
Proper exercise flushes out toxins from your body and improves your blood circulation. This encourages your cells to receive the right nutrients and Oxygen to function. Healthy cells mean healthy skin with a rosy glow.
Stay Hydrated
It’s important to drink six to eight glasses of water every day to keep your body hydrated and to help flush out toxins. At night, wash your face with lukewarm water as it constricts blood vessels and improves blood circulation in your face.
Exfoliate your Skin
If dead skin cells hanging around for a long time, the skin will look dull. Exfoliate on a regular basis will brighten up your skin. Choose a mild exfoliator in order to eliminate the dead cells without abrasion.
Use Aloe Vera Gel
The Aloe Vera gel – colourless, slimy gel, contains nutrients, vitamins, amino acids, minerals and enzymes. Furthermore, it’s an antioxidant. Apply the gel on your face, let it dry and rinse it off with lukewarm water.
Have a Proper Diet
Follow a balanced diet plan and avoid junk food. Include small portions of carrots, cantaloupe, apricots, sweet potatoes and peaches on your meal for these have carotenoids which give you a glowy skin.
Drink Beetroot Juice
Beetroot contains vitamins and minerals such as Vitamins C, B6, folate, manganese, betaine, and potassium. It is rich in fibre and antioxidants. Drink half a glass of beetroot juice before your meal for better nutrient absorption. The antioxidants in beetroot neutralize free radicals and protect the skin. Furthermore, the lycopene in the juice helps to keep the skin elastic while helps protecting it from the sun. You can also use it for a mask. Make your own if you cannot find masks with beetroot extracts.
