Iman Sofea Shra or more well known as Sofea on social media is a fashion and beauty content creator on Youtube and Instagram. What began as a hobby is now Sofea’s full time job that she adores and enjoys everyday. Her outgoing, passionate, and beautiful character has many interested in following her content on social media, making her among the top content creators in Malaysia.

Who is Sofea Shra?
I’m a content creator on Instagram and YouTube. I started doing this full time right after graduating from University. I was not really planning to go down this path at all… not until Covid19 happened. All those days of spending time indoors, I just decided to do something out of pure boredom… I started posting more and more content everyday. I never really took social media seriously, I was just posting for fun because I never saw what I could make out of it. I studied Bachelor in Accounting back then and as I entered my 3rd year of degree, it was getting more and more clear that I wasn’t interested in becoming an accountant anymore. However, I never regretted taking up that degree. I learned a lot and I’m also very grateful for that opportunity.
Who are your biggest inspirations?
My loved ones.
What are the most important things to you?
Nothing else other than knowing that my loved ones are healthy and well.
Sofea on Makeup and Skincare
How did your interest in makeup and skincare spark?
I started showing interest in makeup as early as 12 years old. However, my mom didn’t allow me to wear any until I was around 13-14 years old. I remember the time when I had to beg her to buy me an eyeliner. At 16, I was already wearing full face of makeup but I wasn’t very good to be honest (I’m still not that good now). I didn’t have the right tools nor products… I only used drugstore products because they were affordable. Maybelline was my favourite go-to brand.
As for skincare, I started wearing it when I was 11 and I only used 2 products which were cleanser and moisturizer with SPF.
What is the best part about makeup to you?
The way it makes me feel. As much as I love my bare faced days, I enjoy getting my makeup done and looking good. It’s just a lil confidence booster 🙂 .
What is the one makeup or skincare tip that you learned and have stuck to it ever since?
Every skin is different and requires different needs. One product may seem like a miracle for millions but that doesn’t mean it will work on you. For me, its oil cleansers. I stick to micellar water to this date and avoid oils at any cost.
What is the one makeup product that you can’t go without?
Syedewacosmetics in the shade Paris.
Sofea on Being A Content Creator
What made you decide to start your Youtube channel?
At first I started posting Mini Vlogs on my IG Stories and a lot of people seemed to enjoy it so I decided to just make it a thing because I genuinely love making videos and editing them so its a win-win hehe
What is the best and hardest part of being a beauty content creator?
Best part is probably getting to do something that I truly enjoy as a living and the “hardest” part is coming up with the contents itself and having to keep up with the trends at the same time. I wouldn’t call it “hard”, its more towards challenging because in order for you to create something good, your creativity comes into play.
Sofea on Her Future
What is the one thing that you would like to explore as a content creator but haven’t yet?
I am unsure of else I would like to explore just yet. However, I would definitely want to explore more in the future. Once COVID restrcitions are over, the sky’s the limit for me!
Do you have any future projects that you are planning or working towards?
I do but I don’t wanna say anything about that yet hehe
