Laneige Experts: Sure, the basic rule to applying the mask is firstly you have to make sure that your face is well-cleansed and prepared. Toner also helps to remove remaining residue on the skin before the mask goes on it.

Our beauty editor has been using the mask since last September and now it has been the best addition to her skincare repertoire. Packed with moisturising ingredients like shea butter, squalane, panthenol and glycerin, how can this mask not be a favourite especially for those who need serious hydration downtime for their skin. Without further ado, ahead, we gleaned the Laneige Malaysia Cica Sleeping Mask review into a few sections highlighting our likes and dislikes!

1. Texture and Scent (👍)

One of the main highlights that we cannot just miss out the Laneige Malaysia Cica Sleeping Mask review is the texture. The texture of the mask is indeed peculiar where it isn’t so creamy but it is still heavy. It sort of reminded me of an emollient, which isn’t surprising! Cica I also liked the scent of white texture which is subtle and reminded me of green tea (I’m a crazy green tea, fan hehe!)

2. Packaging and Design( 👎)

Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask doesn’t stand out much in terms of its design because it very much looks similar to the Water Sleeping Mask. The packaging is plastic (siggggh) and the colour of the jar is green which is pretty predictable as there was no other choice for Cica than green packaging – green like a Tiger Grass plant. The jar of Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask comes in a paper box with a specific design.. Inside the box, we can find a spatula which I appreciate. There’s also a manual in Korean, Chinese and English. 

3. Ingredients and Formula (👍)

This is def the best of the part. Yes, you won’t find pure Centella Asiatic Extract in Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask. Is it bad? NO, not at all! Laneige focused on saponins to give your skin what’s the best in Centella. The Centella itself is an antioxidant with enormous meaning for the skin. The delicate plant can speed up the healing process of the skin. It also helps with inflammation, so it’s a win-win situation for sensitive skin and acne-prone skin. 

4. Effectiveness (👍)

According to Laneige, we can layer this mask up to 3 layers. When your skin barrier is in bad condition – it has some sense. I use a single layer on healthy skin. I didn’t have any problems with acne after every use. But here’s the thing, the mask WON’T remove your acne, but it’ll help you maintain healthy skin. The formula itself is super duper moisturizing and hydrating. Especially, in hot Malaysian weather, it is exactly what you need.
