The easiest way to change our mane is to drop by our favourite hair salon but that choice is usually very pricey and time-consuming. This is because you’re paying for the professionals, the products and the service. Most people are reluctant to burn a hole in their pocket.

Therefore, that is where box dyes come to the place because of how convenient it is. You simply buy it and can do it on your own. The instructions are fairly easy to follow and it’s super affordable. There is a wide array of choices you can choose from but where it is good, there is always a catch.

Box Hair Dye Vs Bubble Hair Dye

Many box dyes are incredibly damaging to the hair due to the harsh chemicals they contain such as ammonia and metallic salts. However, an innovative form of hair dye in the form of foam has been rising in popularity. This is because they have been proven to have fewer harsh chemicals and overall way more effective.

Many preferred this form of hair colouring because not only is it inexpensive but the efficiency of the product made the process hassle-free. The directions are incredibly simple that even if someone who has never dyed their hair before could do it as well. Additionally, most bubble hair dyes are ammonia-free which is less damaging to the hair yet still just as effective!

Moreover, because of the firm density of the foam, during the application, you need not worry about the product dripping as most hair dyes would. They usually come in a complete kit of two colouring components that you mix, gloves and aftercare treatment.

One of the most famous foam (or better known as bubble) hair dyes on the market right now is the Liese Creamy Bubble Colour. With that, Beauty Insider is giving you the rundown and why you should try it out too!

What is the Liese Creamy Bubble Colour?

The Liese Creamy Bubble Colour is a permanent hair dye in the form of foamy bubbles made by the Japanese company, Kao. The rave about the hair dye grew rapidly due to the sudden rise in demand for trendy bubble hair colouring in South Korea. Therefore, anything that is popular there is sure to soon find its way in demand worldwide.

In their wide array of selections, Liese has categorised them into two different series. The Natural Series offers colours that will enhance your appearance with a touch of classic natural tones. Whereas the Design Series focuses more on giving you a pop of colour to spice up your look with 12 vibrant shades to choose from!

On the Liese website, you will find a useful guide when choosing the right shade for you. They describe briefly about the shades and even show how bright you can expect the shade to be. Additionally, they also offer a chart comparison of how a shade will turn out according to your current hair colour.

Note that the hair dye contains a very mild bleaching agent to help lift the shade. Even if you have black hair, do still expect a soft tint especially when you’re under bright lights. Moreover, the formula is also water permeable; this means that the Liese Creamy Bubble Colour is Muslim-friendly too!

Here are a few places where you can purchase the Liese Creamy Bubble Colour:

How To Apply The Liese Creamy Bubble Colour?

1. Preparing Your Mane

Before we get to applying the product to your hair, we need to prep it for the colour. You want to ensure that your hair isn’t freshly washed. This is because we want to retain as much natural oil on the scalp and roots to protect and causes minimal damage.

We have to understand that despite this being a creamy bubble hair dye, it is still a hair dye that will cause slight damage. It’s undeniable to not cause harm to your hair but we can at least ensure that we make it as minimal as possible thus protecting your hair prior is vital. We suggest not washing your hair at least 2 days prior and before getting down to business, you should also apply hair oil as well.

Afterwards, you want to brush out your hair from knots and tangles, this will make your hair easier to manage when applying the foam. Once done, you want to section your hair by dividing it on top and below. Many make the mistake of not sectioning when it comes to dyeing hair yourself. This will then run the risk of having patchy and uneven colouring.

2. Applying To Your Hair

Now it’s time to get to the good stuff! When you open the box there will be:

  • Manual and gloves
  • A bottle of solution
  • Foam dispenser
  • A bottle of colourant
  • Aftercare treatment conditioner

Firstly, open the manual read through the instruction, details and disclaimers, ensuring you understand the process well. Put on the gloves and take the bottle of colourant and pour its content into the solution bottle. Once done, screw the bottle back using its original cap and shake it by tipping it back-and-forth 5 times.

Remember, do not shake vigorously but doing a back-and-forth motion instead. Once the solution is mixed well, unscrew its cap and replace it with the foam dispenser. Your creamy bubble colour is ready to be used!

Press the bottle mixture and watch the creamy foam disperse onto your palm. Apply it to a lower section and thoroughly coat it with the foam to ensure every part receives the hair dye. Do not apply directly from the dispenser to your hair as warned in the manual.

We suggest you apply the foam onto your and cup your hair into the mixture before running your fingers through it. As this is a foamy consistency, it is quite hard to see if a certain part is thoroughly covered so you may need to go back a few times to ensure that it is coloured.

Once you have covered all your hair, we like to massage it before twirling it into a high bun. You are going to then cover it with a shower cap to trap heat, influencing the hair dye to work better. Now it’s time to play the waiting game for about 30 minutes before it’s time to hop in the shower.

3. Aftercare Is A Must

Finally, it’s time to rinse off the hair dye! With this process, we suggest to use the double shampoo method using an ultra-hydrating shampoo. This is to ensure that you wash off all remnants of the hair dye. Once completed, take the packet of treatment conditioner they give and apply to your hair, focusing on the ends rather than the scalp.

You want to follow up that with your usual hair conditioner or even a hair mask. Don’t forget to finish your hair care routine with treatment products such as leave-in conditioners, hair oils and hair serums. You want to stray away from heat products for a day or two as well.

Many have said that you won’t immediately see a drastic colour change until the 2nd day. This is when the colour will appear more vibrant and bolder.
