This Lunar New Year, MAC is embracing the festivities with a limited edition Lucky Red line consisting of red lipsticks in 5 shades, a blusher and a brush in bright red metallic packaging. The design references classic Chinese symbols for luck and prosperity. Namely the red which is a lucky colour for the Chinese, the metallic where metal is associated with wealth (it is not necessary to be in gold colour), peonies where blooming flowers symbolizes riches, tree peonies which are considered by the Chinese as the king of flowers, and the auspicious Chinese character 福 meaning luck / blessing.
Lucky Red Lipsticks (RM88)
The 5 shades for Lucky Red come in 3 textures:
- Retro Matte – non-shine matte finish – for Ruby Woo
- Matte – creamy matte finish – for Russian Red, Lady Danger and Lucky in Love
- Amplified – ultra-creamy full coverage finish – Lotus Light
Brush & Blush (RM170 & RM135 respectively)
MAC Lucky Red Brush is a limited edition offer from MAC. It has a short red handle with soft synthetic fibres. The handcrafted brush is for duo purpose, it could be used for both blush and face powder.
The limited edition MAC Lucky Red Blush (Duo) combines two powder blushes, namely the Melba (which is soft coral peace in matte finish) and Love Cloud (bright mid-tone pink in satin finish) in one neat little compact casing. The sweet colours give a natural look and will stay current anytime of the year.
