Review: These Nudestix Products Stole Our Hearts At First Sight!

Hey, lovelies! Welcome back to another series of makeup review by me, Kavitha the Senior Beauty Journalist at Beauty Insider Malaysia. This time I bring you Nudestix products review, a makeup brand that I’ve recently fallen heads over heels in love with!

Despite, being a lesser-known newcomer to the cosmetics world, Nudestix is not a force to be overlooked. The brand has quickly garnered attention thanks to its simple minimalist approach. Something that totally entices a ‘no-makeup makeup look’ fanatic like myself! So as you guessed I decided to give their products a test.

And it was love at first sight with the packaging of their products which all came in stick forms hence would never spill or break! They were absolute godsend gifts for someone who’s clumsy and always on the go (ME hahahaha)!!! Plus, another highlight is their huge colour palettes choices which would fit women of all colours. Read on to find out more!

Founded by Jenny Frankel ( former Product Developer for MAC ) and her two daughters; Ally, Nudestix represent minimalist and effortless makeup. Their products are designed for those who love using makeup enhances their features, rather than covering them. And their products are cruelty-free, as well as paraben, gluten, and preservative-free. With all that, how can you seriously not love the brand?!

Nudestix Products Review: The Five Must-Have!

I’ve been using these products for some time now and they have become absolute staples in my makeup routine. In fact, only makes me want to try more from the brand. They seriously have the most ideal formula for creating simple and quick everyday makeup look. They were super easy to use and I could indeed cheat my way to fresh-looking skin in minutes!

1. Nudestix Nudefix Cream Concealer

My most favourite Nudestix product has got to be The Nudestix concealer. It comes in a whopping 12 shades choice, and I use Nude 9 for full-face coverage and add a bit of Nude 8 under the eye area for some added brightness. I love the creamy texture of this concealer that feels also like silk gliding over my skin in a silky way. It is so easy to blend and gives good coverage, as you can see in the picture above. The finish is dewier rather than matte, which someone with extremely dry skin like me would die for!

2. Nudestix Nudies Glow All Over Face Color Glow (Illumi-Naughty)

If you ask me, once can never have too much highlighter. That’s why I love stocking up on highlighters and that is why I got the Illlumi-Naughty, a purple-y pearl, while they also have Hey, Honey, a gold; and Brown Sugar, Baby, a deeper bronze. The highlighter has a balmlike formula on one side and a blending brush on the other. It feels very light on the skin and gives a simple a laid-back glow like you just came back from the beach.  Def won’t be looking like a disco ball with these hues. The highlighter is super buildable and perfect for whatever mood you find yourself in.

How To Use: 

Swipe the brush onto the colour stick then apply on your desired area in a patting motion to blend out hard edges. 

3. Nudestix Dewy Color Blush (Cherry Blossom Babe)

The Nudies Dewy Color Blush is my absolute most favourite Nudestix product! It is super lightweight and has a tinted shimmer that works great on my skin! Just like the highlighter, the blush is also super convenient to use and carry around as it comes with a soft, densely-bristled brush applicator. It comes in four shades, and I went for Cherry Blossom Babe, a bright rose flush. It instantly gave me radiance and texture that I needed. I use it on my lips and eyes too!

• Longwearing stayed put for 12 hours!

How to Use: 

Just swipe the cheeks, lips and eyes directly from the stick then stipple in a patting motion with the blending brush or fingers to blend out any hard edges.

4. Nudestix Magnetic Luminous Eye Color ( Praia)

Nudestix Magnetic Eye Colors are eyeshadow in creams (mind-blowing, I know!!!!!). They’re so smooth and spread on your skin like butter. I generally don’t like thick and colourful eye makeup, so I went for the subtle gold shade, Praia but the sticks come in whopping 12 shades, so you can pick the one that best fits you! They are super easy to use and in just one swipe the give you good pigmentation (as you can see in the pic above). Trust me, these cream shadows would make you ditch powder eyeshadows completely too!

• Dries off quickly without smudging
• Comes with a sharpener to keep the edge on point
• Light and pigmented cream texture
• Suitable for all skin tones

How To Use:

Swipe desired amount of layer on your eyes and give it about 30 seconds to set. Then, you can just use your fingers to blend it and it would stay put without smudging for rest of the day.

5. Nudestix Plumping Lip Glace Lip Gloss (Nude 4)

Last but not least in our Nudestix products review list is the Nudestix Plumping Lip Glace Lip Gloss. I got Nude 4, which is their best-seller! Initially, I was a lil sceptical of the shade and thought it was gonna look too pale on me but it gave my lips a very healthy sheer pink glow! Plus, it is infused with volumizing lip peptides like shea, avocado and multi-vitamins for the perfectly plump pout. With just the right amount of shine, slip, salve and nude shad, it amazing on lips and has a cooling sensation that I love!

The Complete Look Using Only Nudestix Products

Above is my complete look using only those five Nudestix products that I mentioned earlier. I didn’t use any primer, foundation or setting powder as I wanted to test the longevity and quality of the products on its own. I was honestly surprised with how long they stayed put and didn’t smudge even after putting on my mask (life these days)! The concealer gave complete coverage in just one swipe and the highlighters made me glow like a goddess! I may have gone a lil aboard with the blush, but why not right?!
