Other factors that contribute include your pregnancy or period. So sometimes it is out of our control. But, try to slim it down definitely is! 

1. More Cardio

Exercise is a key role in helping to slim down your body. It is what everybody does when they want to lose weight. To slim down, you should include more cardio in your workout routines. Get your heart rate pumping and it will start burning fat. Although I can’t guarantee which part of your body fat it will burn, doing a high-intensity workout helps! More cardio means that you will end up burning more calories too! Maybe go for a swim or do a HIIT workout at home.

Besides exercising, pairing it with a healthy diet will help you achieve your goal of slimming down faster! Try to eat less processed foods and have some greens instead. Make sure you are getting enough nutrients each day and add some whole grain foods too! Try to stay away from refined carbs as well. Also, ensure that you have a healthy diet and don’t focus on your weight when eating. Maybe have a smaller portion than you usually do. But always ensure that you don’t skip any meals and are full with each one! 

3. Less Sugar

This is not a surprise as we have been told many times that you shouldn’t have too much sugar! Not just because of weight gain, but also because large intakes of sugar can cause other illnesses like diabetes or high sugar level. But if you want to slim down your face, try to take less sugary treats. Or if you can help but want sugar, look for sugar alternatives! Stevia sugar and Lakanto sugar are great options. Taking less sugar also has other benefits of increasing your energy and maintaining a youthful appearance!

Although there are no studies that actually prove this method helps slim down your face, it’s worth a shot, right? For some, it actually helps a lot. But for others, maybe not so much. Sorry, but it still all comes down to your own body! Some facial exercise you can try is moving air from one cheek to the other or sucking in your cheeks. You can also try pushing out your jaw with your mouth or clenching your teeth while smiling for a few seconds. Not only that, but staying up late into the night also increases your urge to snack! Remember all those late-night Ramlee Burgers? Yeah, that is probably the reason you gained some facial fat. Not getting enough sleep can also lead to having a slow metabolism. It also can lead to dark circles and puffy cheeks. Getting enough sleep at night can also reduce gaining weight and help you slim down instead! 

6. Drink Water

Another no-brainer is to drink a lot of water! The next time you feel hungry when bored, reach for a glass of water first. Then ask yourself, “was I really hungry or thirsty instead”? Sometimes, we can confuse thirst with hunger. Drinking a glass of water before a meal can also make you feel fuller. Thus, you end up consuming fewer calories this way. Not only does drinking water help you slim down, but it is also healthy for your body. So, make sure you get those eight glasses a day!

7. Less Sodium

Next, try to consume less salt too. That’s right, put down those fries and skip out on going to McDonald’s for now. If you want to slim down your facial fat, try not to eat fast food all the time! Watch your sodium intake as consuming salt ends up retaining water. Of course, we need salt to ensure that our body stays hydrated, but too much can make you seem bloated! So, all that junk food you have been consuming, I think it’s time to stop.
