Our Insiders have long admired The Body Shop’s unwavering commitment to improving the world, a mission they have steadfastly pursued since their inception decades ago. This August, join this iconic beauty brand in celebrating 40 years of making a difference in Malaysia as they mark Merdeka Day with a special Changemaking Campus event. In honour of People and Planet, The Body Shop is shining a spotlight on changemakers who have made a significant impact on individuals and communities, reflecting their ongoing commitment to positive change.

“The Body Shop has always been an advocate for positive change, guided by ethical and environmental principles, from Community Fair Trade to 100% vegan products,” says Dexter Foong, General Manager of The Body Shop Malaysia. “It is only fitting to mark our 40 years of goodness with a Changemaking Campus that encourages others to do the same. We all have opportunities to be a force for good and we hope to inspire individuals to help others by supporting the ‘Gaza Home of Hope & Love’ project for orphans by Rose2Rose.” Needless to say, this cause is a much-needed one that we wholeheartedly support.

The Body Shop’s Changemaking Campus

The Body Shop’s Changemaking Campus, running from Monday, 26 August to Sunday, 1 September 2024, will transform the Centre Court of Mid Valley Megamall KL into a sensory haven. This event empowers visitors to discover their unique skincare needs and create personalised solutions. With various booths and a dedicated Changemakers photo wall, attendees who complete the campus tour will be rewarded with free samples. The first 40 visitors from 3PM on weekdays will receive a complimentary scoop of ice cream. For even more rewards, download The Body Shop app and register as a Love Your Body Friend to redeem an RM10 voucher and a free pouch.

Throughout this event, The Body Shop will contribute RM1 from every purchase of their amazing British Rose range to support the ‘Gaza Home of Hope & Love’ project by Rose2Rose, an initiative of Humanitarian Care Malaysia (MyCARE). Rose2Rose empowers vulnerable communities, particularly women and children affected by conflict, by providing education and support. This effort perfectly exemplifies The Body Shop’s dedication to social and environmental causes that we all know and love, such as their Community Fair Trade program, cruelty-free and 100% vegan products, and sustainable packaging practices for a greener future. Purchase the British Rose range now to make a difference, every little counts!
