My Honest Review of the Urban Jungle Midas Touch Body Lotion

The Ingredients

The Urban Jungle Midas Touch Body Lotion features a concoction of skin-loving ingredients that are meticulously selected for their ability to deeply nourish the skin by retaining the hydration level, soothe irritated skin, and soften rough, textured skin. Powered by niacinamide, this hero ingredient ensures the skin stays hydrated by preventing transdermal water loss. Thanks to its inflammatory properties, it works impeccably to calm sensitive and inflamed skin.

The addition of apricot seed oil packs a punch with its vitamins A, C, and E, which soften the skin, improve radiance, and minimise the signs of ageing all over your body. I also loved that it contains a medley of key ingredients, including shea butter and glycerin, which are known as hydration-boosting powerhouses. If you have sensitive skin types, fret not, as Urban Jungle Midas Touch Body Lotion is suitable for all skin types. 

The Texture and Scent

TBH, when I first tried it, I was worried. The texture has a luxurious, creamy feel that looks slightly thick. However, unlike other body lotions that I’ve tried, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it seamlessly absorbs into the skin without leaving any greasy residues, which is a major ick for me. Lo and behold, with just a few pumps, I slather it across my arms, and it absorbs easily into the skin with an instant hydration kick.

I knew that the Urban Jungle Midas Touch Body Lotion was off to a good start (it’s a beauty junkie’s intuition). The cherry on top has to be its incredible scent, which reminds me of a tropical beach. Think of it as a glass of sweet tropical fruit punch that transports you to the summer reverie. Plus, I love how the fragrance lingers on my skin even after application. 

How to Use It

The Urban Jungle Midas Touch Body Lotion is ideal for daytime and nighttime applications. Personally, I love to use it post-shower at night, especially when my skin is still slightly damp. Depending on the body area, I often use a few pumps and religiously apply them all over my body. The tip is to pay extra attention to certain body parts prone to dryness, like the elbows and knees.

Additionally, I also have dry patches on several parts, including my hands and neck, which often feel scaly and irritated. I make sure to keep them hydrated every now and then with this body lotion. I also recommend using it along with the Urban Jungle Grime Fighter Body Wash, which works wonders to gently cleanse the impurities from your skin without stripping the natural essential oils. Both of these products add extra oomph to my dull and boring body care routine.

Overall Review 

Although it is my first time trying any product from Urban Jungle since it was launched in Sephora earlier this year, I was astounded by the results I have seen so far after using the Urban Jungle Midas Touch Body Lotion. After a few months of using the lotion, I love how it transforms my skin into a healthy-looking one without any signs of dryness or lacklustre appearance. Every time I run my fingers over my skin, it feels soft and smooth, unlike my previous skin condition, which was a far cry from this.

The highlight of the Urban Jungle Midas Touch Body Lotion is its amazing fragrance, which melts my stress away after a long day at work. It is exactly what I need to unwind at night. The product also delivers what it promises, as I noticed visible improvements in my skin’s appearance with a moisturised, smooth, and softer texture. Honestly, I love that it comes in a large 500-ml package, which makes its price worth every penny.

However, I wish it also came in travel-size packaging so I could slip it into my bag whenever my skin needs a pick-me-up. For now, I will rely on dispensing the product into a travel bottle. Ever since I tried it, the Urban Jungle Midas Touch Body Lotion has become an indispensable part of my body care routine to revive my skin.
