Sigma Beauty was founded in 2009 by Dr. Simone Xavier and Rene Xavier Filho, a molecular bacteriologist and civil engineer, respectively. They launched Sigma with just one brush that quickly gained cult status. The brand expanded their range of professional brushes to cover all needs and added a brush-care line.

Sigma Beauty’s brushes are hand-crafted, using synthetic SigmaTech® and Sigmax® fiber brushes. These fibres are antimicrobial to protect your skin and the fibers prevent product absorption, so not to waste the products. Their exclusive filament developed with a thermoplastic engineering polymer featuring very thin fibers helps to hold and apply your products.

To ensure the longevity of the brushes, care has been given to the handles. The handles are made from high-resistance wood treated with 8 coats of primer and paint.

Paying attention to all details, they created a special metal alloy, SigmaAlloy™, to use as ferrules for their brushes. The ferrules are antimicrobial, corrosion and wear-resistant. Then, we layered each in chrome, copper, and gold for lifelong shine and protection.

The brand further diversified by venturing into cosmetics by launching makeup products for the face, eyes and lips.
