Oh dear. I’m afraid I’ll never find a moisturiser as good as the Dear,Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream one ever again. Jokes, maybe I will, but so far, this one is pretty unbeatable. If you haven’t heard about this brand, you’re in for a treat. If you haven’t heard about this moisturiser, well, today’s your lucky day because I’m about to spill all the tea on this moisturiser. Spoiler alert: this is one of my holy grails, will-bring-with-me-to-a-desert-island kind of product.

I’ve always preferred K-beauty brands over Western stuff simply because 1) I think they work better on my skin, and 2) I once heard that they’re like 20 years more advanced than the Western beauty world, and I kinda believe that. I’m a dry, dehydrated, and sensitive skin girlie, and if my skin isn’t happy, it’ll break out into clusters of acne too. Lemme tell you RN, this stuff saves lives.

The Dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream has sold over one million bottles on Wishtrend, and you know what, I totally get it. This moisturiser hydrates the skin like nothing I’ve ever used before, and I’ve tried out a lot.

The Rich Moist Soothing Cream by Dear, Klairs

First things first, this moisturiser checks all the boxes. It’s cruelty-free, vegan friendly, and has a pH level of 6.5. Plus, it’s free from ethanol, artificial colouring, artificial fragrances, and even gluten, which is not something you see a lot. Being free from all these things means that it’s great for all skin types, including sensitive, dry, or even if you have oily or combination skin.

The Dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream features yeast-derived beta glucan. They mention that it’s derived from yeast because beta glucan can come from bacteria, oats, barley, mushrooms, and algae, too. When consumed, yeast-derived beta glucan can (Can can? Can.) support your immune health, but we’re not consuming it here.

In skincare products, yeast beta glucan is great for soothing any redness or irritation, so they’re not lying about the soothing part in the product’s name. Beta glucan also does a really great job at strengthening the skin barrier, which is important in keeping the skin acne-free and generally just looking great.

This moisturiser also contains shea butter and jojoba oil, which are highly moisturising ingredients. Plus, it also contains a ton of other extracts, all which you can see here, and all of which have their own hydrating properties and other benefits for the skin.

My Experience with the Dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream

Let’s recap: I have very dry and dehydrated skin, sometimes to the point where the skin on my nose flakes. I also have very sensitive skin which means that I can’t use just anything, and I have allergies, which means that sometimes I will get acne thanks to my amazing allergies.

I first got this moisturiser a few years ago, because I heard that it was a dupe for the Embryolisse-Lait Creme Concentre. If you’ve ever used the Embryolisse-Lait Creme Concentre, you’d know how thicc she is, and the Rich Moist Soothing Cream is nothing like that because she’s lightweight. TBH, it’s not like I haven’t used any other moisturisers besides the the Rich Moist Soothing Cream since I first tried it, but if anybody asks for a recommendation on moisturisers, the Rich Moist Soothing Cream is always my answer.

As a dry skin girlie, I prefer a cream-type moisturiser since those are thicker than gel-types and I need the richness of it. The Rich Moist Soothing Cream is exactly what it sounds like – it’s rich (but not heavy, I hate those), it’s moist, and it soothes my skin whenever I have an allergy flare-up. Maybe I should put in the fridge so that it feels cold on my skin, hmm. Other than that, it sinks in fast into the skin, and it doesn’t wash off and feel icky when you shower in the morning like some other moisturisers do.

It’s light enough to be used in the daytime, works great under makeup, yet heavy enough to be used at night-time because apparently the air-con air can dry your skin out, or so I’ve heard. It’s also fragrance-free, which is great news for us sensitive skin gals. Plus, it’s cruelty-free, which is very important in my books.

How Often I Use the Dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream

Day and night, bro. All day every day.

How the Dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream Feels on My Skin

Like I said, she’s not really thicc, but she’s intense. She doesn’t feel heavy at all, and she layers really nicely with my other skincare products. She does also have a very slight scent, but at the same time it doesn’t really smell like anything. Also, see how she glistens? I’m in love.

The Results

Look at the picture. Just look at it. That’s how much I love it. I refuse to part ways with it. The Rich Moist Soothing Cream by Dear,Klairs is a mouthful to say but damn, she’s worth it. She’s hydrating, moisturising, great for both day and night, doesn’t feel heavy, doesn’t break me out. Basically, she’s everything you could ever want and need in a moisturiser, enough said.
