It’s been long overdue but at least we get it! Zoe Kravitz finally made her debut on Vogue’s channel by revealing her 9-steps-beauty-routines and how she manages to keep her skin glowing and blemishes free, all day. She also shared one of the biggest beauty secrets that has been passed to her through generations: Always look after your health, your guts and stay hydrated. ‘’Beauty starts from within,’’ is the exact word.  

In the video, the High Fidelity actress revealed her must-haves summer essentials and all the products that she swore by. Including the famous Caudalie Beauty Elixir. So, without further ado, we’re here at Beauty Insider are kind enough to list down all of her go-to products and also some of the secrets that we took from Zoe Kravitz’s beauty book. Read below!

Cleanse The Face

Okay here we go, of course, a good beauty routine always starts off with a cleanse. It doesn’t take a beauty nerd to know that before you apply any heavy products on your face make sure your base is clean and smooth. Be honest, who wants that crusty looking skin anyway? So, always wash your face before you go about your day. 

For Zoe, typically, she starts off with cleansing her face with Rhonda Allison Pumpkin Cleanser. According to Zoe, this has become her favorite cleanser due the antioxidants that help break down the fat without really drying her face. She described the smells of it like an early Christmas morning. Not sure, how it smells like, maybe due to the pumpkin essence? But if Zoe said it’s good then it’s good! 

The Beauty Base

Up next, Zoe wasted no time to apply her trusty serum which is the Retrouvé Nutrient Facial Serum. She has been using it for months and it creates a smooth canvas before putting any thick moisturizer or heavy makeup onto her face. The 32-years-old beauty further explained how she and her mum, actress Lisa Bonet often exchange beauty products as a way of ‘’keeping in touch’’. She said, ‘’My mom and I are constantly sending each other things that we like.’’ 

She then began applying the French favourite, Caudalie Beauty Elixir. She carefully spray the rich liquid all over her face ro create a more refreshing look. The texture is very rich and non-sticky. Perfectly suitable for those who are looking for facial mist to awaken the face throughout the hot sunny weather. This Caudalie Elixir can also be used as a toner. 

According to the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, one thing that she learned from her parents is to always look after your health. ‘’Beauty starts from within,’’ she said. ‘’It is all about joy and happiness and laughter. I really think that affects how you look and feel. Then, you don’t have to use make-up to cover yourself up, You can use it to highlight your beauty.’’ 

Moisturize & Prime

For moisturizer, Zoe opted for her all time favourite which is the Isun Skincare Antioxidant Sun Butter. This moisturizer contains SPF, which is why Zoe swears heavily on this one. She highlighted that sun protection is a must in any beauty or skincare regime. This specific moisturizer not only has SPF in it, but according to the actress it smells like ‘’peanut butter luck’’. 

For her eye cream, another Retrouvé product came to play. This time it’s the Revitalizing Eye Concentrate, which has a very smooth and silky texture. It glides smoothly on the skin and helps in nourishing the sensitive part around your eyes area. This eye cream is perfect for your night-time beauty routine. And according to Zoe, she mainly used it before bedtime. Somewhat the elements in the product helps to restore and repair your panda eyes. Nice. 

And of course for primer, she will support her fella friend, Rihanna. Zoe said her makeup wouldn’t be complete without the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer. The reason why this primer is a sold out product is due to the matte finish that it creates, and when dabbed perfectly around your T-zone area, your make up will stay perfectly as it is. 

Makeup On

Now, the moment we’re waiting for, her makeup routine. Zoe said she is not really a big fan of foundation. She likes to keep it minimal. So, she went straight to concealing, using the YSL Touche Eclat Cover Radiant Under-Eye Concealer. This concealer is very lightweight and can act as your second skin, illuminating and enhancing your features. And instead of using a brush or beauty blender, she just lightly dabbed them using her finger. 

Next, she fills her already-thick brows with another YSL product. For this one, she uses the super fine Couture Brow Pencil. She careful;y fills in the gap with light strokes and brushes the remaining of the product using the spoolie. 

As for the blusher, the secret to her well-structured and killer cheekbones is none other than Nudestix’s Nudies Matte Blush & Bronze Creme Sticks. Just like the rest of the products, instead of using a tool, Zoe is more comfortable in working it with her fingers. And with a few leftovers on the fingers, she just applied them on the eyelids to create a minimal monochromatic look. 

Finishing off she lined her lips with a Marc Jacobs lip liner and top it off a YSL matte lipstick of her choice. She likes to combine similar colours so it doesn;t give much of a multiple colour effect. Again, it’s Zoe Kravitz. And minimalistic is her middle name.
