What I Think
As someone with oily and acne-prone skin, finding the perfect face wash is a nightmare. I’ve gone through a dozen cleansers and eliminated them through trial and error. Some claimed to be the ultimate cleanser for acne-prone skin but broke me out instead. So, you can see why I’m a little sceptical when it comes to cleansers. To be honest, I bought the Hada Labo AHA + BHA Mild Exfoliating Face Wash on a whim. I was browsing through Watsons and decided to pick it up because my previous cleanser was running out.
After using this Hada Labo face wash for a few weeks, I noticed an improvement in my skin! It definitely felt smoother and my pimples started to diminish as well. Albeit a good skincare routine after cleansing, I felt like this mild exfoliating face wash did help to brighten my skin. My skin didn’t look as dull as before and many of my acne scars started to fade slowly. Over time, it became my go-to face wash to keep my skin smooth. As I struggled with acne before and had bumps on my cheeks, the Hada Labo mild exfoliating face wash actually smoothened my acne scars.
It has a thick lotion texture that transforms into a foam once in contact with water. It feels very soft against my skin and after rinsing it off, it doesn’t dry out my skin at all! I don’t feel any tightening of my skin so it’s good enough for me. Although, after using it for a long time, I do feel like its effects came to a stagnant state. It’s not improving or harming my skin. It’s kind of in a state of limbo. But, I still use it for that same reason. Honestly, I’m just scared a new cleanser will break me out terribly! So, I’m sticking to the Hada Labo AHA + BHA Mild Exfoliating Face Wash for now.
Overall, I’m giving this mild exfoliating face wash a 3.5 out of 5. It did help my skin a lot when I first got it but so far, I haven’t seen any progress or improvements. Luckily, it’s not making my skin worse either. So I’m kind of 50/50 on this.
- Smoother skin
- Brighter skin
- Calms pimples
- Runs out quickly
- Hard to wash off excess product
- Not suitable for dry skin
