Cartier has launched a new fragrance case design for its Nécessaires À Parfum collection. Inspired by the Maison’s early 20th century vanity cases, the new geometric motif design is engraved, enamelled, and lacquered, making it the perfect embodiment of art de vivre.

It is made to house the Cartier Nécessaires À Parfum 30 ml refillable fragrance using a magnet inside the case. The magnetic system was specially developed to facilitate the flow of the fragrance. These ultra-thin and chic vanity fragrance cases are perfect for slipping into a pocket and carrying with you.

The latest design for the Nécessaire à Parfum case is engraved with a red lacquered motif. This masterpiece takes more than seven steps to create, starting from the intaglio metal engraving to the lacquer filling, in which everything is done by hand before the item is finally polished.

According to Jacques Cartier, “In fact, we don’t only produce luxury jewellery. I would say, monsieur, that jewellery like ours is as capable of adorning a woman’s shoulders with a dazzling necklace as it is of filling her handbag with a powder compact, a mirror, a small comb or even business cards, all stamped with the same seal of originality and art.”
